The Southport Food and Drink Festival is an event Moonlight Events have had the pleasure of being a part of for the last two years. The Food and Drink Festival brings approximately 130 traders, producers and exhibitors together at Victoria Park, Southport. The event draws in tens of thousands of people into the area, coming together to enjoy a vast array of food and drink, accompanied by incredible live music. 

The festival has been going for many years, becoming an established event in the heart of Southport, hosting many household names. The event always provides a fun-filled weekend, with plenty of food and drink to go around.

For the past two years, we have been the sole supplier for all sound / PA aspects at the event. For the festival, we installed a fully active FBT Line Array sound system, giving site-wide coverage for any announcements which needed to be made, along with more isolated coverage in the entertainment tent. The sound system installed on this event provided 360 coverage for the performers, drawing in the crowd and providing a focal point throughout the festival. During the event days our team sound-check the system across the park, ensuring we do not break any dB level regulations.

Our experienced technicians catered for an array of performers, ranging from solo artists, to choirs, and bands across the 3-day event. To do this, we used a range of industry standard Sennheiser and AKG microphones which our team interchanged between acts to ensure each performer had everything they needed in place before stepping out on stage.

Last year’s festival featured many new and upcoming artists showcasing their talent – as well as a large exhibition of food and drink. This combination proved to make a great 3 days for all involved and another enjoyable event for the Moonlight Events Team to be a part of.
